Where there is a real difference between perception and reality. That are managed by strong management teams, driven by strong purpose, where my investment, whether it is time or money, can make a real difference. I want to unpack that for a second. Really, whats misunderstood about goodwill is our mission. When i talked to most people out there, people really dont seem to understand what we stand for and why were doing what we are doing. So i think that really the best way to understand is the old story about if you catch a man of fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach them and how to fish, you will eat for life. That is what we are all about. We are all about providing Second Chances by providing jobs and training for those who have barriers to employment. Whether it is formerly incarcerated, recovering addicts , people who struggle with english as a second language, veterans, and a whole bunch of other people that really need a Second Chance. Significant change to our criminal justice system, one that the mayor is pleased to partner with community and Public Safety partners, including the sheriff, the City Attorney, and the District Attorneys Office to provide expedited review to ensure that everyone is treated equally and fairly under the law regardless of their ability to pay. We are happy to lead in the significant reform of our criminal justice system, and as my presentation will point out, it will take time to ensure that we meet those terms. So im going to walkthrough a high level of the various points in time across this new willhour time period that the various criminal justice 18hour time period that the various criminal justice periods are involved. Its really important to the city of San Francisco that the federal government gets the count right, so weve created count sf to motivate all sf count to motivate all citizens to participate in the census. For the immigrant community, a lot of people arent sure whether they should take part, whether this is something for u. S. Citizens or whether its something for anybody whos in the yunited states, and it is something for everybody. Census counts the entire population. Weve given out 2 million to over 30 communitybased organizations to help people do the census in the communities where they live and work. Weve also partnered with the Public Libraries here in the city and also the Public Schools to make sure there are informational materials to make sure the folks do the census at those sites, as well, and weve initiated a campaign to motivate the citizens and make sure they participate in census 2020.
