i felt weird about it. it was very evident that this gender gap existed. the technology field is extremely male dominated. only see 30% representation for women in most tech companies. it is funny. the first programmers were women. can multiply and divide more than 2,000 times a second. for a long time, the stereotype of what a computer programmer looked like was a woman. then roughly many the 80s it sort of switched. sometimes it is intimidating to walk in a room, not see anybody that looks like you. it was very obvious something was wrong. i just wanted to do something about it. when i was a junior in high school, decided to make the free five day computer science camp.
