Different ways to experience virtual worlds. i dont think weve ever seen a decade like that frankly. >> there was realization this was going to be part of our lives, where our work and entertainment and all that was going to reside. >> i believe that what is happening today is truly a revolution in the deepest sense of the word that 30 or 40 years from now its going to be hard to recognize the way we live. >> technology can make our life better. and technology means that anythings possible. >> i...

It a secret hotline between trump and russia and asking that it be investigated. how surprised were you to hear last week that this investigation is still ongoing? >> i wasnt surprised because what we learned during the campaign was that very serious computer science experts, people who work closely with the united states government, had uncovered this secret hotline between the alpha bank, the russian bank, and the trump organization. now, of course, we didnt know for sure if, in fact, that wer...

Lookups was spectrum health in the say medical facility chain led by tic devos, the husband of betsy devos. . those two entities alone made i 99% the lookups and its that that computer scientists found very strange. all the corporations involved say theyve never communicated by e-mail with the trump administration and they have different sometimes competing explanations for that server activity, but they havent provided any proof to cnn and they dont always agree about whats going on. for exampl...

And i think most people, thats why most people want an independent investigation or at least to have these investigations continue to try to put the pieces together. >> jose? >> it is worth noting the computer scientists who looked at this data didnt come to any concrete conclusions. they want an independent investigation. thats why they surfaced this. theres no evidence that these two entities were communicating. the idea is that they want someone to look at this. >> remember, wait a minute, re...

Is what we call meta data, very high level data that suggests that communications have occurred. what we dont have is the packet data, or the record of it moving between the servers. so either they have it or theyre not sharing it or for some reason they dont have it. its an unanswered part of the story here. >> well, this is a great point, we asked ourselves from the beginning, this is one of two things either the data doesnt exist, there are no secret communications so we have not heard of it ...

Palieri. exaction plain what was the so-called communications about? >> whats so odd is this russian bank repeatedly looked up the very unique internet address of one particular computer server in the u.s. being used by the trump organization. in the computer world its equivalent to looking up someones phone number over and over again. its looking up contact information. so while there isnt necessarily a phone call, usually it indicates something that might be an intention to communicate. thats ...

Several computer scientists we spoke to. a particular group of computer scientists who obtained these records that were leaked, they were puzzled as to why a russian ba was doing this. was it trying to sen an e-mail to the trump organization? these scientists couldnt tell. last summer, during the presidential campaign, the russian bank looked up the address of this trump corporate server some 2,800 times. thats more lookups than the trump server received from any other source. the only other ent...

Communications? >> any accusation of wrongdoing? >> no, not at all. all we know is that servers are acting strangely. computer scientists have said, this is weird, its not really being explained. we reached out to all the players involved, the trump organization, alfa bank, spectrum health. they all have theories but no actual explanations. alfa bank says maybe we were doing these lookups because we were receiving spam marketing from trump hotels. fair point. except they couldnt produce a single...
