how did this work? what this group did was infect millions of computers with a virus in the normal fashion. and then what that virus is d. is when a computer user went to click on a certain web site, such as the itunes web site or netflix, they were taken, instead to a different web site. in the case of netflix they went to something instead called budget match. that s called click hijacking. there was another thing they did called ad replacement. if somebody clicked on the wall street journal on the front page of that the paper ad was by american express. they managed to get an ad for fashion girl l.a. on there. those companies were paying this group. if you want to ask me technically how that works, i have no idea. if i did i would have invented facebook. shepard: i guess you would have. now the real concern i guess is these government agencies. they got into government web sites. this is a serious problem. one of the government agencies was nasa. obviously they are a major n
