Comstech signs MoU with Turkish university National April 21, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University, TRNC/Turkey and OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific & Technological Cooperation Comstech, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by Coordinator General, Comstech, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and Rector, NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University, Prof. Tayfun Turgay, in an online ceremony. With this MoU, the NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University will be inducted as a member of Comstech Consortium of Excellence (CCOE). CCoE comprises upon leading science technology and engineering academic and research institutions from OIC member states. By now 20 top institutions/universities have become member of CCoE.

COMSTECH, NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University ink MoU By Hamid Khan Wazir ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University, TRNC/ Turkey and OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific & Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday. With this MoU, the NETKENT Mediterranean Research and Science University will be inducted as a member of the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence (CCoE). CCoE comprises upon leading science technology and engineering academic and research institutions from OIC member states. By now 20 top institutions/ universities have become members of CCoE. The aim of CCoE is to create S&T interdependence among OIC member states and build capacity in key areas of STEM through exchange programmes. CCoE was established last year by COMSTECH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) under the “Science Diplomacy” initiative of MoFA, Pakistan.

Pakistan ,Turkey, Indonesia located on seismic active zones National March 13, 2021 Islamabad: Two days international seminar on ‘Seismicity, Seismotectonic, Seismic Hazards Including Geological & Geophysical Aspects’ was jointly organised by Comstech and Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), under Comstech Consortium of Excellence. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, coordinator general, Comstech welcomed the chief guest, guest of honor and all the distinguished speakers and participants to the event. During his welcome address, he shared the ongoing and upcoming capacity building activities and programmes of Comstech. QAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammad Ali Shah was invited as the chief guest, and Prof. Muhammad Shahid Baig, chairman, Pakistan Science Foundation as the guest of honor. The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. MonaLisa from Quaid-i-Azam, University.
