SHAH ALAM: All schools throughout Selangor have to close from tomorrow until May 17, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced today.
He said the closure order covered all areas subject to the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
“(The closure order applies to) All national schools, day schools and schools that come under the Selangor Islamic Religious Department, we hope to follow this (closure) directive not to operate until after Aidilfitri and the Home-based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) period is over,“ he told a press conference in here.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down a group of men for allegedly assaulting a foreigner in Taman Alam Jaya, Batu 9 Cheras, Kajang after a video of the incident went viral on social media today.
Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan said a team from the Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD) had conducted an investigation on the video lasting one minute and 21 seconds as they believed that the incident took place in an area under the IPD’s administration.
“The initial investigation found that the incident involved a man, believed foreigner, who was assaulted by a group of local men known as Yusuf Azmi, Abang Ali and several others who are yet to be identified.

Over the past few weeks, Malaysia has seen a slew of local celebrities grabbing headlines for allegedly breaching COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Actress and entrepreneur Neelofa flouted the rules once during her wedding on 27 March, and another time during her honeymoon in Langkawi. Last weekend, she and her husband allegedly visited a carpet shop in Nilai, breaching the interstate travel ban under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

As for Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor, they will be under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
He said the decision was made as there has been an increase in Covid-19 cases and the government wants to break the chain of infection.
Ismail also said interstate and inter-district travel is not allowed unless for emergencies.
SOP around the MCO areas will be the same as the other areas such as Kelantan and multiple districts in Kedah.

Restaurants and eateries are allowed to operate between 6 am to 12 am but dining in is not allowed, while shops, pharmacies can operate between 6 am to 10 pm.

This is following a viral video of the couple allegedly violating standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
Negeri Sembilan police deputy chief SAC Datuk Che Zakaria Othman said police had also taken statements from the owner and employee of a carpet shop at Nilai 3 Business Centre which was believed to have been visited by the artiste on Sunday.
