Norwegian Cruise Line Plans August Return to U.S. Sailing

NCLH) - Get Report said it plans to return to U.S. sailings in August after the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown brought the industry to a halt over a year ago.
Shares of the Miami company were up 4.6% to $30.03 at last check.
Norwegian said it plans to return to U.S. cruising with Alaska cruises on Norwegian Bliss sailing from Seattle beginning August 7.
The restart is contingent on obtaining a Conditional Sailing Certificate from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which Norwegian said it expects to be granted in the coming days.

NEW YORK - Norwegian Cruise Line announced on Monday it plans to restart cruises from the United States.
The company says it expects its U.S. voyages will resume this summer with cruises from Seattle to Alaska on Norwegian Bliss. The sailings will officially begin on August 7, 2021.
The cruise line says the restart is dependent on receiving a ‘Conditional Sailing Certificate’ from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It said it expects approval in the coming days.

Norwegian Cruise Line is the latest cruise line to announce a return of sailings from the U.S. with week long cruises from Seattle to Alaska starting on August 7, pending authorization from the CDC.
This summer, NCL will offer cruise adventures to Alaska with week-long voyages aboard Norwegian Bliss. The cruise ship will sail revised itineraries from August 7, 2021 through October 16, 2021, offering seven to 13 hours of port time in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Icy Strait Point, Alaska. On select sailings, guests will also have the chance to take in the serene views of Glacier Bay National Park or the Holkham Bay Glacier Fjord.
