baltimore has taken a big step. the city has rededicated a former confederate memorial site to harriet tubman. they did this on saturday, the 105th anniversary of harriet tubman s death. tubman is a legend of the underground railroad and the fight to free slaves. harriet tubman permanently led more than 300 slaves to freedom. she helped raise money for african-american schools after the civil war. that is a lovely entry into our monumental american honoring someone who may be deserving of more recognition. today it s septima clark. the daughter of a slave, clark taught for 40 years in the south. she pioneered citizenship schools that empowered african-americans. she was active with the naacp, worked with thursdgood marshall for equal pay for africans. she was invited by martin luther
