President s personal attorney, michael cohen, has filed a defamation suit against buzzfeed for publishing the dossier. Buzzfeed says, its the subject of active investigations by congress and intelligence agencies. What, if any, impact could that have the investigation . This is a very strong claim. In the sense that donald trump is a public figure. And the reason they had an extensive citation about all the people who have quoted their work is because you have to show actual malice and uncorrobo...

Well discuss all of that now. Joining me is jim sciutto, legal analyst Michael Zeldin and good evening to all of you. Jim, so according to this newly released transcript former british spy Christopher Steele was so concerned that then candidate trump was being blackmailed that he personally went to the fbi. What more can you tell us . Listen, don, from the beginning the republican argument and really the trump argument has been that the dossier was purely a political document. That it was democr...

Fbi director. He has not been questioned very much in public the last few weeks have been filled with fbirelated headline which is he has not discussed in Great Lengths in public including the devin nunes memo, the background check process in the white house which mark warner alluded to saying the security clearance in this country is broken. So a little bit of something for everybody, but certainly a focus on russia, not just looking backwards but also starting to look ahead now to 2018 and wha...

Sent by susan rice to herself describing a meeting where she says president obama urged his team to conduct the russia election meddling investigation by the book. Raising serious questions for two republican senators and here is one of them. What im worried about is this an effort by the president to basically get himself on the record through susan rice to make sure that from his point of view everything was done by the book. The question is, did the president know anything about the fisa warr...

Special counsel wants to talk to the president of the United States in the next few weeks, thats according to the Washington Post. And whats telling this hour is what Robert Mueller wants to talk about him about it. A source close to the investigation saying is mueller is seeking to determine whether there is a pattern of behavior by the president. First we knee mueller wants to talk about the firing of the former fbi director comey. According to the post, remember the white house said he was di...

A discovery. This is earth shaking. Its far bigger than watergate. More troubling than the underlying crime in watergate. Whats the classic phrase . Fire in the hole. Fire in the hole we had no real idea what we would find inside. As it turns out, we havent found very much. I actually dont think it has any impact on the russia probe. This memo has frankly nothing at all to do with the special counsel. It seems, at least up to now, that weve struck out with the vault. Im disappointed about that, ...

Crew this week on the streets of San Francisco. A terrifying holdup caught on camera with our employees in the middle of it. Youll hear the story but first, here is the most porcht thinimportant thing abouz letter and the argument. It was actually made by tom perez, chair of the dnc, quote, we cant let them undermine our Justice System to serve their partisan political interests. No one is above the law. Dead right. But that includes the democrats and it includes the fbi. And the security servic...

Ever more increasing threat to the United States and its interests. Pyongyang has repeatedly stated that it does not intend to negotiate its Nuclear Weapons and missiles away because the regime views Nuclear Weapons are critical to its security. Kim also probably sees Nuclear Icbms as leverage to achieve his longterm strategic ambition to end seouls alliance with washington and to eventually dominate the peninsula. In the wake of the icbm test last year, we expect to see north korea press ahead ...

Sound so familiar, alexander vanderzwan. Thats him. He also worked with Paul Manafort and rick gates. Wile talk about what he learned today and what clues we might get on where Robert Mueller is going with all of this. We do know hes looking at collusion with documents saying hes focussing on Paul Manafort. We want to know who gave him the okay to go that route. We also got our eye on stocks after another day back in the red. The second quarter, initially the worse sense the great depression. Wo...

Is dead. This is an american disgrace. This from the president this morning via tweet. The white house declassified the controversial 3 1 2page document allowing the memo to go public despite strong objections from the fbi and Justice Department calling the memo misleading. The republican document alleges leaders of the fbi and doj, department of justice, abused surveillance laws to spy on former Trump Campaign official carter page. Democrat s claim the memo is incomplete and partisan. Critics o...
