Pounder’s Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, is a no-go area for accused Midian Sheldon Scantlebury.
Acting Magistrate Marsha Lougheed ordered him to move from the district and to not venture back there as part of his bail imposed by the District “A” Traffic Court.
Scantlebury, a 41-year-old labourer, of Pounder’s Gap, had denied he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Leon Thompson on December 4 last year; that he damaged Thompson’s car last December 20, and that he used the threatening words: “I gine kill you. You will be going back to Jamaica in a board box. I will give you all the shots in my gun. Your life is mine, boy,” to Thompson on January 21 this year.
Intoxicated man causes scene in St Lawrence Gap

Chinua Jelani Sowande Callender was so intoxicated last Sunday that he couldn’t control his behaviour, even when police spoke to him.
The 22-year-old from Union, St Philip, was so “out” of it that he caused a disturbance in St Lawrence Gap, which landed him before the law court.
But by the time he arrived before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes yesterday, he had more than sobered to hear how he behaved around 4:15 a.m. on December 27.
Lawmen were on duty and observed the self-employed man “carrying on” with another male in front a nightclub in the area, and asked him to desist from such behaviour. The other man left immediately, but Callender did not. He was asked to leave St Lawrence Gap but instead of complying he shouted and hurled obscenities. He was taken to the police station and subsequently to court.

A THIEF who said he had his cocaine use under wraps, got the chance to spend Christmas away from prison after he received a suspended sentence yesterday.
But Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes warned him he had that time to clean up his act and enrol in the outpatient clinic at the Psychiatric Hospital.
Jamal Amal Skeete, 32, of no fixed place of abode, pleaded guilty to entering Ursuline Convent School, between December 5 and 7, and stealing a lock, umbrella, a pair of gloves and a pruner, all valued $69, belonging to Francois Jean-Baptiste.
