Preservation Chicago names its seven most endangered buildings of 2024, including old facotires, a residential block, and a church.

The U.S. General Services Administration and the federal judges pushing for demolition would do well to hear and abide by what could be a flood of testimony next week in favor of saving the buildings.

"It's very hard to narrow the list," says the Chief Preservation Officer of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The 2023 list includes a gas station, an artist studio and two Chinatowns.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 36th annual list of at-risk cultural landmarks includes an Arizona gas station, Philadelphia’s Chinatown, and the Mississippi home of self-taught artist L.V. Hull.
