GLP-1 receptor drugs, like Mounjaro, may hinder the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. It's recommended that people taking Mounjaro switch to a non-oral birth control method, or add a barrier method of contraception in the timeframe around a dose of the GLP-1 drug.
