hello, there. over the last couple of days, we ve seen some spectacular sunset pictures like this one from tuesday in warwickshire. now, a lot of the cloud you can see here is actually aeroplane contrail cloud. so the water that aeroplane engines put out into the atmosphere freezes and makes these kind of clouds. now, when there s a lot of moisture in the atmosphere seven miles above our heads, at the elevation that planes fly at, those contrails can persist for a long, long time. and that has been happening. but we saw something of a change on wednesday as those contrails worked towards france, and we had some drier air moving into the atmosphere seven miles up. and so those contrails just aren t going to hang around as long, looking at the forecast over the next day or so. they ll be back, though, i think, on saturday. now, looking at the weather picture for the next few days, high pressure is certainly going to continue to dominate things. so a lot of dry and fine weather. occasiona
