Kokomo police officers and firefighters are set to receive higher pay, increased longevity pay and a base pay structure based on seniority and rank under new three-year labor contracts.

The city of Kokomo’s 2024 proposed budget is on the verge of approval, and it’s not much different than 2023.

Some two years after receiving $19.8 million in federal American Rescue Plan money, the city of Kokomo has designated nearly $6 million of it, largely on infrastructure and parks projects.
