As part of another exchange of prisoners, 64 soldiers of the Armed Forces who fought in Donetsk and Luhansk directions, as well as a U.S. citizen who helped the Ukrainians, are returning home, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak has said.

Suedi Murekezi, a former Air Force soldier, was released alongside over 60 Ukrainian prisoners of war in the prisoner swap on Wednesday.

Ukrainian official Andriy Yermak said Saturday that "over the last week, we managed to return 98 Ukrainians. We are working on the release of all our people."

The story of their liberation is worth making a film about it.

"The more Russian prisoners we have, the sooner we will be able to free our heroes," the Ukrainian head of state said in a speech.

Thirty-seven of the women released on the Ukrainian side had been captured by the Russian military after the fall of the Azovstal steel complex during the final days of the siege of Mariupol.

The 110 Russians freed include 72 seamen from commercial vessels while 108 Ukrainian female prisoners are released.
