Beloit police are inviting residents to have Coffee with a Cop on Oct. 4 at the Rotary River Center.

Once again, Hy-Vee stores in Davenport are hosting Coffee with a Cop with the Davenport Police Department. Citizens are encouraged to have coffee with officers and meet them.

Not one but three coffee holidays are on the horizon. Over the next week, the classic breakfast beverage will be the center of observances like National Coffee Day tomorrow, International Coffee Day on Oct. 1 and National Coffee with a Cop Day on Oct. 4. With so many upcoming coffee holidays, here are some local shops to visit for your next brew, regardless of if you’re a fan of drip, cold brew or lattes.

The Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum will hold a Lowcountry Boil from 6-9 p.m. today on the grounds of the Aiken County Historical Museum, 433 Newberry St. S.W.
