The growth rate has halved as compared to the preceding month of February 2023, when i stood at 7.2 percent.

According to official statistics issued on Friday, March saw a 3.6% rise in Indias core sector output on an annual basis as compared to 6 per cent recorded in the month of February.

The output of core sectors had increased by 8.9 per cent in January 2023.

Crude oil, natural gas and refinery products, however, recorded negative growth in November this year. The production growth of eight key sectors slowed down to 0.9 per cent in October.
