(ABC 6 NEWS) - This time of year, the Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust is usually gearing up for its Dancing for the Arts event, but for the second year in a row, it s postponed because of the pandemic.
Dancing for the Arts is a popular fundraiser in Rochester that pairs some amazing talent with local celebrities. The event raises about
$30,000 for youth arts education programs, but it is being delayed again because of COVID-related restrictions. 2020 would have been the 9th year for Dancing for the Arts, but was postponed to 2021, and is now being moved to 2022. This event sells out every year and is a huge production. Organizers are planning to be back on April 2, 2022.

Bring the Sing on the Solstice Tune in to any MPR station at 5 p.m. on December 21 for Bring the Sing Solstice, a virtual community singalong of “This Little Light of Mine.” Classical MPR and The Current will also air two hours of special solstice-themed programming following Bring the Sing. Resounding Voices Holiday Sing-Along Video Premiere Resounding Voices is holding its third annual Holiday Sing Along in 2020. Like many things during the pandemic, it s a little different this year. We ve moved online, but we re still bringing you a mix of familiar Christmas carols and readings performed by members of Resounding Voices. Sing along with the carols (lyrics are provided on screen) or just enjoy the music. This program is designed for people with dementia, but is appropriate for people of all ages to enjoy.
