Harley calls the Pan America an adventure touring motorcycle. This means it’s designed for long, cross-country rides both on and off-road. The Pan America is designed to be the most rugged Harley ever, with vital engine and chassis protection, robust design, and technology designed to help it handle the worst possible conditions. The Pan America is equipped with several key features that should interest both new and veteran riders.

After years of teasing, Harley-Davidson has finally taken the wraps off the Pan America, its first ever adventure bike,
The Pan America will be available in two adventure touring variants, the 1250 and 1250 Special.
Pan America 1250cc Revolution Max engine
Powering both variants is an all-new 150-hp Revolution Max 1250 engine. This new creation is a liquid-cooled 1,250cc V-Twin designed to offer a broad powerband.
The Revolution Max engine is integrated into the bike as the central member of the chassis. It forms part of a three-piece chassis construction, composed of the front frame, mid frame, and tail section which bolt directly to the powertrain.
Like most modern motorcycles, the Pan America has a riding mode for every season and reason. Sport mode maximizes throttle response and suspension control. Road mode softens the power in the mid-range and gives a softer ride. Rain dials both back again while Off-Road chops off the top end and softens the suspension even more. There’s even and I can’t believe there’ll be too many traditional Harley customers using this one an Off-Road Plus mode which disables both the rear ABS and the linked brakes so you can lock up the rear without washing out the front.
