CORNWALL – A former French Catholic school on Reneal Street in Cornwall will be converted into an apartment complex.
The city’s Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) held a public meeting Monday night for the rezoning of the property on southeast corner of Reneal Street and Sunnyside Avenue to allow the conversion of St. Gabriel school to a 17-unit “market rate rental” building.
CORNWALL – The City of Cornwall has a new planner.
Alex Gatien dived right into the work Monday with the city’s first Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting, which coincidentally was his first day.
Gatien told PAC he’s a York University graduate from the Faculty of Environmental Studies Planning program, which focuses on how “land use and transportation planning shape each other.”
He has also worked with Toronto engineering firm BA Consulting Group as a data collection co-op student and has done some projects with the Center for Active Transportation in Toronto.
“If you have any question about bike lanes, I can answer those,” he remarked.
