New Delhi: Amid a sudden surge in coronavirus cases in some states, the Central government has deputed high-level multi-disciplinary teams to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir. The teams have been given the task to assist these states in implementing public health measures for targeted COVID-19 response and management.
The government said the specialised teams, which have three members each, will liaison closely with these state and UT administrations and find out the reasons behind the recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases there.
