Yeah certainly outside tonight things very slick out there in fact up for the golden gate bridge, the rain is beginning to move in once again, well see that overnight tonight more showery type whether or not that steady rainfall. And well obviously were still in the midst of some of them looking at her views behind me you can see skies are pretty gray overall. In fact some areas are looking at some dense fog, especially right along the coastline. This is your Half Moon Bay view right now definitely a wet roadway out there along highway one just as the rest of the bay area seeing. And youve got that fog a marine layer that is pushed in right along the coastline, what youre seeing in the speckled green those are drizzly areas a product of some of those low clouds that have pushed in across the region. Some of our rainiest of sponsor actually sitting further south in the bay area. We have been seeing showers around fremont those really cleared out moved southward now and now youre looking at a heavier band of rain right around san jose to alum rock. So if you are traveling in the south bay, not only is it wet from last night showers like the rest of us are seeing that youre getting some additional rainfall on top
Theres an outbreak in san jose youve always wanted never get to point to the weather on this job for a jog and areas east of san jose that is definitely the spot that we are looking at some of our heavier rainfall right now, but as you guys also mention most other areas the lighter side of things. Yesterday we saw some widespread rain to kick off the morning which was definitely something that slowed it down a bit on roadways and after some overnight showers last night even though showers are lighter this morning. We still do have plenty of wet spots on roadways with some ponding in puddles on roads they to contend with as you make your drive into work or wherever youre going. This is your view of Half Moon Bay, not really raining there right now but obviously cloudy and misty very wet roadways right along highway, one at the coast as well as other spots on the peninsula that may have come down, but are certainly still wet. Good evening everyone. I am frank sommerville. The fire is reporting a dramatic increase in the number of homes and businesses that have been lost in the fire still burning out of control in that napa and sonoma counties. The latest update shows 58,000 acres have burned and that is up from 51,000 this time last night and containment has improved slightly and now 5 compared to 2 yesterday but the Damage Assessment is higher. Cal fire so the number of homes and businesses destroyed has gone up to 419 and that number was 150 last night. We are tracking the weather conditions that firefighters are facing and we will hear from him in a moment but first we go to amber lee and describe the situation there. Reporter christina, we are in downtown calistoga and it is deserted and the entire city is under a mandatory Evacuation Order and the smell of smoke is strong and it has been raining ashes and in the meantime firefighters are trying to get the upper hand.
