Deandra corinthios is live from district five with the latest the officers were responding to a burglary in progress when a suspect armed with a handgun fired at them this happened near 27th and ruby shortly before 10 30 pm shots, an officer returned fire. No one was hit. No officers were injured the suspect took off running. And after a brief foot chase a 23 year old man from milwaukee was arrested a spokesperson for the Police Department says the suspect has an arrest record with them. His name has not been released.
