Dancefest is one of the most exciting and beloved traditions at Colgate University. It is a chance for students of all backgrounds to express themselves creatively for an audience that is eager to appreciate the talent of their peers. On Friday, April 26, over 100 students came together to continue the tradition and kick off.
Captivating the audience with a perfect synchrony of sounds, the third annual spring A Cappella Fest took place on Friday, April 12, at the Palace Theater. The event united Colgate University student groups with the surrounding Hamilton community to showcase the musical talent of more than 100 performers. Four of Colgate’s five a cappella groups.
The “’Gate After Dark” program hosted mentalist Dustin Dean for a psychic-style magic show in the O’Connor Campus Center (the Coop) Media Lounge on Friday, Feb. 2. The performance provided a unique opportunity for members of the Colgate University community to enjoy their Friday night by watching and participating in Dean’s demonstrations of what appeared.
Over the course of four days last weekend, Colgate University student theater group Masque & Triangle (M&T) put on five showings of “Something Rotten!,” a musical comedy that debuted on Broadway in 2015 and has since earned several Tony Award nominations. In M&T’s rendition of the acclaimed play, the stunning voice of sophomore Clementina Aboagye.
