New figures show South Holland District Council had its budget slashed by more than 40% in the last six years - but the leader says the real nature of cuts here has been even worse than that.
House of Commons Library data showed the districtâs settlement funding fell from £5.93 million in 2015/16 to £3.5 million for 2021/22, when adjusted for inflation.
That amounts to a fall of 40.9% - but Coun Gary Porter said the authority has actually lost â60p in the poundâ during an era of tightening local authority budgets.
