Charleston’s City Council passed eight resolutions at a quick meeting Monday night.
Most resolutions were financial authorizations for city maintenance needs such as dump trucks, a woodchipper, street repair and cleaning for the Haddad Riverfront Park canopy.
Charleston Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin will soon begin interviewing candidates to be Charleston s new police chief. The Charleston Police Department has been without a chief since August when James "Tyke" Hunt stepped down. Scott Dempsey has been interim chief.
