Quetta [Pakistan], April 25 (ANI): A journalist was shot and killed during a robbery bid in the Bank Colony area of Quetta on Saturday evening, said police officials.

Islamabad, Pakistan: Senior journalist and former chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Authority (Pemra), Absar Alam is in stable condition after he was allegedly shot at by an unidentified person in F/11 Park Islamabad.
The Police has registered the First Information Report (FIR) under section 334 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). FIR under section 334 PPC indicates that Islamabad Police believes that the attacker did not want to kill Absar Alam because 334 PPC indicates an act/crime for voluntarily causes hurt by means of any instrument for shooting, stabbing or cutting, or any instrument which, used as a weapon of offence, is likely to cause death.
He was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
While he was being taken to the hospital, Absar in a video message, which is making the rounds on social media, said: “I’ve been hit in my ribs but my message for those who are behind this is that I am not going to give up.”
Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has constituted a committee to investigate the case.
According to details, Absar was walking in the park when he was shot by an unidentified man.
