New Canaan s council passes MOU, without 1913 library protection

Town Council removed Section 1:08, one that particularly favored preservationists of the 1913 library, from the Memorandum Of Understanding between the New Canaan Library and the town.
After much discussion and amendments, the 12-member council voted unanimously to pass the MOU on Wednesday, April 21, which enumerated the town’s expectations in return for giving $10 million toward the proposed $38 million library project.
