In reaction to a ban on feeding feral cats at Queensʻ Marketplace in Waikōloa Village in order to protect endanered nēnē, two local animal rescue organizations conducted a relocation project. They captured 64 felines and delivered them to homes across the Big Island after being spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
A total of 64 cats and kittens were caught at Queens’ Marketplace at the Waikōloa Resort over the weekend of May 19-22.After their capture, the cats were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and
