And the problem here for mitt romney is this reenforces a perception that his persistent and repetitive that he wants to have it both ways on every issue thats controversial. and that he will say as a venture capital guy whatever it takes to close the deal. the republican nominee for president, if somebody says blunt rubio amendment, you should know what it is. and secondly, your political instinct should say blunt, rubio, im for that. those are guys i want to support me. this is something thats...

If it is even close? >> you know, i think for mitt romney, all about getting more delegate, over the top. i think that even if he loses michigan, he will pretty much tie rick santorum in the delegate count. i think he has got more money and more resources. my guess is if he does lose in michigan, you are going to have a big -- republican establishment will give him a lot more money because they are worried about rick santorum and i do think at the end of the day, mitt romney is going to eek this...

Same page with his party on capitol hill. theres a big canyon between them. the bigger worry is what bill daley didnt say but what a lot of us could read into those remarks is there is a bit of daylight between the chief of staff and the president. again, this is a critical juncture going into a brutal, by all analysis, a brutal re-election campaign. there are people within the senior staff and white house that are not on the same page with the president. i see it as welcome news as a republican...

For the underdog. it wins. it manages expectations. its not characteristic of the administration. i think its interesting. this is a notable course correction. joe biden on thursday said look, this is our economy. weve, you know, what did he say? what is relevant is were in charge. that is different. i wish they would stick to it, because they have gone from blaming bush to say its our economy and blaming bush to say its in our economy, makes me wonder if they are seeing something in the polling...
