Man pleads guilty in Elkton hotel prostitution case

BALTIMORE - A Cecil County man who ran a prostitution business an Elkton hotel for approximately five years is facing a sentence of 10 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to a single charge relating to juveniles he sex trafficked during the operation, according to the U.S. Attorney s Office. The defendant, Xavier Lee, 41, of Elkton, pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor during a U.S. District Court proceeding on Thursday, reported Marcia Murphy, a USAO spokeswoman. The 10-year penalty at the low-end of that sentencing spectrum is mandatory. U.S. District Court Judge Ellen L. Hollander accepted Lee s guilty plea and scheduled his sentencing for April 30.
