A student may have died from a combination of drugs, booze and concussion after a night out partying in Somerset, an inquest has heard.
Hamish Howitt, 20, a Plymouth University student, was discovered dead in the morning after he was allegedly rugby tackled to the ground in a street fight the night before in Frome. His friends had helped him into bed at his accommodation in Frome after the altercation, but he was found dead in the early hours of July 1, 2016, Plymouth Live reports.
A CARER was killed when she was hit by a train. An inquest has been opened after Patrova Dale s death on the afternoon of Thursday, January 28. The 44-year-old was struck by a train at Three Bridges railway station. At Crawley Coroner s Court yesterday, the inquest heard emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.30pm, but Patrova was confirmed to have died. Senior coroner for West Sussex Penelope Schofield gave Patrova s provisional cause of death as multiple injuries. The full inquest is due to take place at the court on July 28.

A TEENAGE mother went into a cardiac arrest while giving birth and died weeks later. Teegan Barnard from Havant in Hampshire was admitted to St Richard s Hospital in Chichester during the third trimester of her pregnancy in September 2019. The 17-year-old s baby boy, named Parker, was born by an emergency caesarean on September 9, that year. But Teegan suffered a bleed and cardiac arrest during labour, leaving her in a critical condition. The new mum remained in hospital until September 26 and died at home on October 7. An inquest opened into Teegan s death this morning at Crawley Coroner s Court heard she had suffered maternal cardiac arrest following a haemorrhage.
