The Aroostook CA$H Coalition will be going virtual this year. IRS tax law certified volunteers will still be available to provide free tax preparation and financial checkups for low to middle income households earning less than $57,000; however, there will be no in-person appointments accepted for 2021. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, the Coalition has, as others across the state, “gone virtual.”
The Scan & Go Virtual Tax Preparation will be by appointment only. Documents will be scanned and handed back to the individual, prepared virtually, and then the person returns, in about a week’s time to review and sign for e-filing.

REGION Tax season is almost here, and it will look different this year. Due to the continuing pandemic our IRS-certified volunteers will be preparing taxes virtually…what this means? We will not have a tax site at UMF this year…we will have three ways for tax filers to get started:
1) Call 778-7954 and schedule an appointment for our Scan & Go service. We will meet one-on-one with filers to get their tax paperwork, ID information, etc. scanned in. We will schedule a follow up appointment (by phone or in person) to review the completed return. Once reviewed and approved, we will e-file it as usual. Voila, your taxes are done without a large gathering…no muss, no fuss.
