Police in McLean County have issued a public alert as they try to find a man suspected in a string of stolen vehicles. Authorities say the man should be considered armed and dangerous.
Bloomington Police issued a statement on social media Friday that a warrant was issued for Todd Kelly Jr., 36, of Gridley, for possession of a stolen vehicle.

McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said Kelly is known to frequent Bloomington-Normal, LeRoy, Downs and El Paso.
“Kelly should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public,” Sandage said in a statement. “The public is encouraged to call 911 should you encounter Kelly.”

UPDATED 11:40 a.m. | The Woodford County sheriff s department says the armed-and-dangerous suspect in a string of vehicle thefts was spotted Sunday in rural Secor. He remains at large. Suspect (Todd Kelly) was last known to be in the rural Secor area (meridian trail, south of 700N) on 12/20/20 driving a stolen white Ford Transit Van, IL LIC: 2129410. Suspect is armed and considered dangerous. If spotted do not approach and contact local law enforcement! Unknown if still in the area.
