Fourth graders finish reading competition

The Council Bluffs School Board met on Tuesday night to decide the future of one school in the district, Crescent Elementary.

The numbers just didn’t add up for the Council Bluffs Community School District. Little Crescent Elementary will indeed close at the end of the school year.

After the vote, one couple said they plan to move their kids out of Council Bluffs Community Schools, altogether. "They can tell us that they're sad about their decision ... it doesn't seem like they're sad. It really seems like kids are just dollars to them," Chad Casson said.

The decision is made by the Council Bluffs Community School District board.

Entertainment will range from dance to musical concerts to plays this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula.

In Iowa Tuesday, we heard from the Council Bluffs Community School Board as they discuss the potential closing of Crescent Elementary. The district points to enrollment, currently, there are just 64 total students.
