The Starliner team is confident the malfunctions won’t prevent the spacecraft from completing its mission

The spacecraft launched from Space Launch Complex 41 in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and the anticipated landing is on May 25 at White Sands Missile Range.

After nearly 2 1/2 years, NASA and Boeing plan to hit the target this time with their new and improved CST-100 Starliner on a redo of its uncrewed test flight to the International Space Station.

The Orbital Flight Test-2 is the final step before a test flight with astronauts later this year.

Boeing and United Launch Alliance continue to move forward with Thursday evening's launch to complete the final test needed before Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft can fly astronauts to the International Space Station. 

On May 19th, Boeing is set to try for a third time to launch its new CST-100 Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station, without any people on board.

The launch is planned for 6:54 p.m. today from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Boeing's Starliner was able to complete all the needed spacecraft tests as its ISS launch nears.
