Desert Springs Resort, Spain to host ICC Europe Sub – Regional T20 World Cup Qualifying Finals

Desert Springs Resort Spain, receives ICC One Day International (ODI) and T20I accreditation
It is with pleasure that we announce that Desert Springs Resort, Europe’s only international award-winning luxury family resort with its very own dedicated Cricket Ground and Academy, located in Almeria, Andalucía, south-east Spain, has been awarded venue accreditation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host official One Day International (ODI) and T20I matches.
The Desert Springs Cricket Ground opened in 2018 with an eighteen (18) wicket square, constructed to ECB standards and specifications, complimented by a Marquee pavilion, sightscreens, scoreboard and associated facilities, is open all year round and provides an outstanding facility to practice and play cricket.

LaMangaTorre CC lost out in the National League final in Barcelona, after winning the ECCL t20 league, against Spanish representative for the 2020 edition of the ECL, Minhaj CC.
“After weeks of hard work from behind the scenes from Cricket España, we were given the all clear to play our National Final,” Kieran Wood from LMTCC told the Leader.
“We won the ECCL t20 league back in October, against the Spanish representative for the 2020 edition of the ECL Minhaj CC, which didn’t go ahead, due to the coronovirus pandemic.
“The t10 play off matches took place at the Montjuic Cricket Ground in Barcelona, streamed by the European Cricket Network.
