MEMPHIS, Tenn. UPDATE 5-7-2021 - An arraignment was held by phone Friday for Lawrencia Reed. She will be appointed a public defender.
No bond has been set. She returns to court May 14. - -
5-1-2021 - A woman has been charged with murder after she fatally stabbed her 10-year-old daughter in a Raleigh apartment complex on Friday night.
Memphis Police say 29-year-old Lawrencia Reed stabbed her 10-year-old daughter and 18-year-old sister in the 2800 block of Coach inside the Huntington Hils apartment in Raleigh.
Medics took the 10-year-old girl to Le Bonheur Children s Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Memphis Police Department says Lawrencia Reed is charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
According to reports from MPD Friday night, the 10-year-old was fatally stabbed and the 18-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. There was also a two-year-old at the scene at Huntington Hills Apartments on Coach Drive.
