Water main break in Scranton

Water company crews are working to repair a water main break in Scranton s South Side. According to officials with Pennsylvania American Water, the break is affecting customers in the area of Meadow Avenue, Stafford Avenue, Crown Avenue, Hemlock Street, and Brook Street. Crews have not been able to locate the break yet, so customers might be experiencing low water pressure or no water. Water tankers are provided for those in need at the intersection of Beech Street and Meadow Avenue and also on Crown Avenue.

Velocity Café and Bicycle Workshop in Inverness named as Scotland s Cyclist Café of the Year by Cycling UK

A popular Inverness cafÃ© has been named as Scotlandâs Cyclist CafÃ© of the Year. Velocity Cafe and Bicycle Workshop received the award from Cycling UK with similar accolades for cafÃ©s in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Alice Masheter, a Go ByCycle Project Worker from the Crown Avenue business, said: âOn December 16 we were awarded Scotlandâs Cyclist Cafe of the Year â the only cafe to win the award twice. We were encouraged by the increase in walking and cycling during 2020, and look forward to welcoming customers back to the cafÃ©.â A spokesman from awards organiser Cycling UK, said: âVelocity CafÃ© and Bicycle Workshop offers healthy food, great coffee, and runs projects promoting health and wellbeing. Not only that, their workshop team has been working tirelessly during lockdown to keep people riding.â
