A pipe bomb was located over the weekend in Elk Township in Noble County. According to Noble County Sheriff Jason Mackie, the property owner on Crum Ridge Road found the explosive. “The property owner was out on his property, comes across this piece of pipe,” described Mackie. “Calls me and I got a look at it, and sure enough there was a pipe bomb that somebody tried to set off, but it didn’t go. It was a live bomb, their fuse just failed … I would assume somebody probably lit it and threw it out the window of a vehicle.”
