but with ted cruz, you know, he is i ve gotten along with him very nicely and i very cutely said it it was very well accepted, because he said nice things about me. when people say nice things about me, i think i generally reciprocate, and i was being little bit cute and it got a big laugh and that was the end of that, yeah. okay. look, let me ask you about something joe said here the other day after the debate, when he saw your behavior with senator cruz on stage. joe said there s an inside deal between these guys, whether it s a direct deal or an indirect deal, donald and senator cruz have decided not to go after each other because that s in their political interests. is that true? well, it s not true, but we got along very well prior to the debate. we re standing up. we didn t talk about this, we didn t do that, but i mean, we did speak, not about this, not about let s get along. it wasn t like that but we got along very nicely. and i really didn t know what to expect. look,
certain segment of the republican party that really is attracted to that kind of message but as a progressive, as somebody who is going to support a democratic nominees i m loving this i m loving republicans arguing with each other over mexicans are drug dealers and rapists. i love it. there s no doubt about it, jessica, when you say democrats say keep the fire going, and governor huckabee as well as senator cruz have backed out of that? i wouldn t say that. huckabee had the most inclusive message of everybody. he said people want to be in this country because we re offering this opportunity to them. cruz i say halfway backed down. he said i don t want republican on republican violence. trump talks a certain way that i don t speak but he brought up an important issue which is amnesty
move backward this year. marco rubio and his super pac, they have spent $20 million. rubio is looking for the kind of traction that trump and cruz have. the campaign started with everyone saying money matter more than ever. that billionaire donors would pick presidential winners and losers that citizens united had redefined campaigning. well, here we are and so far, money has mattered very little in this race. so why has spending had an almost inverse relationship with support in the polls? no doubt media attention is a factor. trump has spent little of his own money, but he hasn t been absent from the air waves. he finds ways to get on television and blankets social media with personal media and clips that cost him nothing to post. he does it by relying on talking points kind of language you see from more seasoned language.
