The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian is the longest running daily newspaper in the country, marking its centenary in 2017. The paper started life as the Trinidad Guardian on Sunday 2nd September 1917 by the newly formed Trinidad Publishing Company Limited.
A spring celebration is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, at Historic Dreibelbis Farm near Virginville starting at 2 p.m. Activities are expected to end at 5 p.m. or no later than sunset. The farm, located at 365 Hard Hill Road, Richmond Township, is the former site of an ancient Indian village. The outdoor event is intended to honor and respect the Native American history in the area. Activities include history and storytelling, music, crafts, education and demonstrations along with displays of ancient Indian artifacts. Admission is free.
