Trustees at California State University have voted to raise student tuition by 6% each year for five consecutive years to address a $1.5 billion deficit. The increases will begin in the fall of 2024. The university officials argue that the tuition hikes are necessary to provide support to students, faculty, and staff, as well as maintain school facilities.
