Curtin United Methodist Church is having their “Beat the Winter Blues” yard and bake sale at the church located at 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard The church is located near the Curtin Mansion and Ironworks property.
The sale will be on Friday, Feb. 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Howard Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop 353 are planning a Winter Festival on March 13. The festival is free and will be held at the park beside the post office in Howard beginning at 11 a.m.

Holy Spirit Parish Ash Wednesday Services will be held at St. Agnes Church, 3 W. Walnut St., Lock Haven on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 8:30 a.m. Ashes will not be distributed at Mass and other services for the day have been cancelled.

Bellefonte fish fries will be Feb. 19, 26 and March 5, 12, 19 and March 26 from 4-7p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, Pa. 16823. Because of the virus, the meals will all be served take out only, first-come-first-served and the menu must be abbreviated. The menu will be as follows: baked fish, fried fish or shrimp; each served with macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, and a cookie. The cost will be $9 per meal. You can pick up the meals by entering the school through the side door and exiting through the main door. Church volunteers look forward to bringing some normality to everyone and thank everyone for their support.
