The Marion Board of Aldermen is hoping to see paving work begin quickly after awarding a project to Falcon Contracting in a special called meeting Thursday.

Disposal fees will be going up 5.82% or $1.01 per ton effective Nov. 1 for disposal of household waste, but the county is absorbing the costs and no fee increase is planned, county officials said. 

Neshoba General will resume providing inmate meals at the county jail following action taken by the Board of Supervisors at their July 17 meeting.
