ROYAL OAK/CLAWSON In the Aug. 2 primary election, voters in Royal Oak and Clawson cemented which Democratic and Republican candidates in local, state and federal races will go head to head in the November election and approved a millage for the Royal Oak Public Library.

In the Troy Times’ coverage area, voters in the Aug. 2 primary election will choose party representatives to run in the Nov. 8 general election for the gubernatorial race, as well as numerous races for U.S. Congress and the Michigan Legislature.
The program will provide eligible Oakland County school districts with a base grant of up to $175,000. Additional grant funding up to $175,000 will be awarded if matched with equal funds from the school district.
