In addition to approving the GA Fee and the Save the Daily Cal Initiative for the 2022 ballet, the council also approved ASUC candidate’s filing forms.
Voting yes on the Save the Daily Cal Initiative will maintain this free public service for the Berkeley community and allow the Daily Cal to continue producing content.

The ASUC Judicial Council voted Monday evening to certify the results of four student referendums from the 2021 ASUC elections.
The referendums included Proposition 21A, which would clarify the nonpartisan status of ASUC councils; Proposition 21B, the Graduate Assembly, or GA, fee, would end graduate contributions to the ASUC fee and replace them with a GA fee; Propositions 21C, which would renew the Student Technology Fund, or STF, fee; and Proposition 21D, or the Daily Cal Initiative fee, respectively.
Throughout the course of a week following the preliminary tabulation event, the ASUC Elections Council certified the results of the referendums from the 2021 ASUC elections, which remain to be certified by the ASUC Judicial Council amid conflicting ASUC bylaws and UC Berkeley policies.
At its Monday meeting, the Elections Council certified the passage of the proposition titled Protecting the Checks and Balances of the ASUC Constitution. In accordance with campus policy on referendum fees, the three remaining propositions the Graduate Assembly Fee, Student Technology Fee and Daily Cal Initiative did not pass.
Both the Elections Council and Judicial Councils must certify election results for them to be deemed final.
