Kate Winslet has spoken out about her daughter Mia s acting career.
The actress, 45, who shares Mia with her first husband Jim Threapleton, appeared on Lorraine on Monday, where she detailed Mia s career and explained that due to the fact they have different surnames she has managed to flourish on her own merit.
She said: What’s great for her is she has a different surname so she slipped under the radar and the people who cast her didn’t know she was my daughter and that was important for her self-esteem of course.

First Dates frontman Fred Sirieix has revealed the show s crew were contacted by police on the first day they resumed filming with new COVID-19 restrictions.
The presenter, 49, revealed they were told by the authorities they had to complete filming by 10pm in accordance with new curfews as they were recording the Channel 4 show in a restaurant.
Fred also revealed that filming for First Dates 16th series was relocated to an eatery in Manchester for a change of scenery after seven years recording at the Paternoster Chop House in London.
