LUDHIANA: A coordinator of a Congress’s sports and culture cell in Dakha committed suicide while alleging that the party had let him down. But a senior party leader said that he had not blamed the party and had only asked the party to take care of his family.
Meanwhile, police have booked three persons Preetam Singh, his nephew Baljinder Singh and panch Mohinder Singh for abetment to suicide and arrested Baljinder and Mohnider. The deceased Daljeet Singh Happy Bajwa of Jangpur have termed all the three as Akali workers.
Before ending his life, Daljeet in an audio message addressed to newly-appointed PPCC president Navjot Singh said he has served the party for 30 years and he couldn’t even get atta-dal started for his family. He claimed that earlier, so many false cases were registered against him which destroyed him, but the party didn’t do anything for him.
