Update on Medfield s Dale Street School project Common Content Editor’s Note: The following was submitted by Medfield Public Schools.             The Medfield Public School District submitted the Preferred Schematic Report to the Massachusetts School Building Authority on Dec. 23, 2020. As the project enters a new phase of the design process, the town/district has decided to evaluate the opportunities of the MSBA Model School Program. This decision was made in an effort to explore all available opportunities for the Dale Street School project from an educational and fiscal perspective.             The Model School Program seeks to effectively adapt and re-use the designs of successful, previously constructed K-12 schools. The intent of the Model School Program is to save time and money during the design and construction process by implementing already tested designs. Wheelock Neighborhood Traffic Questionnaire: The School Building Committee has released a traffic questionnaire intended, but not limited to, the Wheelock School neighborhood. The data from this questionnaire is anticipated to be used to fine-tune existing traffic calculations and adjustments, to understand additional concerns other than traffic increases, and to most importantly focus on developing mitigation strategies that would best serve the neighborhood and the future school development.
